Singapore Airlines Review – HKG to SFO

This is a brief review of my Singapore Airlines flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco in Business class.

Skipping the Lounge

The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge is in many major airports, and there is one at the Hong Kong International airport.  We decided to skip the lounge this time to eat dinner at one of the food courts inside the airport.

Food Alley

The Hong Kong airport is huge.  Inside the airport, it is as if going inside a big shopping mall with plenty of shopping stores, restaurants, food courts, bars, coffee shops, you name it.  Below is just one of the food alleys inside the airport.

Feeling a little hungry, we ordered some Hong Kong-style dishes for the dinner.

Some desert – the lines don’t lie.

Takeoff

Time to get on our red-eye flight.  The aircraft is Boeing 777-300ER.  Please enjoy the takeoff video – hear the roaring of the powerful jet engines.

Meals

Two meals were included in this flight.  Dinner was first served.

About two hours before landing, breakfast was served.

The food was freshly made and the quality was excellent.

The Flight

The cabin was clean and spotless, and the flight was pretty smooth.  After dinner, I slept for several hours.  When I woke up, it was already day time at some part of the Pacific ocean.

Then there came the beautiful sunset.

And finally arriving at San Francisco.

Final Thoughts

I am very happy flying with Singapore Airlines again in this trip.  Their service is again top notch.  The cabin crew team is super friendly and the service is attentive.  I highly recommend this airliner to anyone.
