Flying Japan Airlines from Osaka to Tokyo in Economy Class

Today, we are flying Japan Airlines from Osaka to Tokyo in Economy class.  This is an hour flight.

The Airport

Osaka International Airport, also referred to as Itami Airport (IATA code ITM), is located in the Kansai region of Japan.  Although designated as an international airport, it is serving domestic flights only.

Check-in

There’s a long line at the check-in counter.  Besides the normal check-in procedures, all the passenger bag and baggage must go through the security scan right at the front counter.  There are plenty of staff members helping out this process; the entire process doesn’t take long.

After passing the security, we are inside the terminal waiting for our flight.  The large, glass windows at the terminal bring in a lot of natural light and it’s a good place to spot aircrafts.

The Flight

This bird, the Boeing 737-800, will fly us to Tokyo.

Conclusion

My experience with Japan Airlines is a good one.  The check-in process was snappy, and the flight was on time.  The entire Japan Airlines staff was efficient and friendly.  I will try out their long-haul flight one day.
