Two years into pandemic life, today, for the first time, I am flying again, to Hawaii with United Airlines.
It is near Christmas time. The new COVID-19 omicron cases are on the rise. We are arriving at San Francisco International airport in late afternoon.
United Airlines is located at terminal 3 at SFO. Due to COVID-19, face masking is required both at the airport and inside the aircraft. There are lots of passengers at the airport.
We are flying United First class. Lounge access is not included but is available for an additional fee. We did not purchase that. Here is a partial view of our aircraft – the Boeing 777-300ER.
There is no waiting at the boarding gate but upon entering the aircraft, the line is a little backup.
United First seating is basically a Business class seating. It’s a lie-flat seat.
Dinner is served and snack are served.
After about 5 hours, we have arrived Honolulu International aiport.
On our way back, at the Honolulu International airport.
The boarding is quick.
The 180-degree lie-flat seat, which is comfortable.
Breakfast is served for this route.
At mid-flight, some snacks are served.
And here is the landing video at SFO.
Overall, we had a good time on this flight, with great food and services.
