Singapore Airlines – Eating Hainanese Chicken Rice in the Sky

This is a short review of my flight from Hong Kong to Singapore with Singapore Airlines in business class on June 2019.

Aircraft

This is the 3-year old Airbus A350-900.  It’s very new from inside out.  The big bird parks at the gate waiting for the passengers to come onboard.

The Flight

The flight time to Singapore is about 3 hours.  After the 255 passengers boarded, the plane was promptly pushed back to the taxiway, heading to the runway for departure.

The two powerful Rolls Royce Trent XWB jet engines lifted the aircraft off the ground in no time and propelled us through the air.  The cabin environment was very comfortable.

Meals

Even thought it was a short flight, a full meal was served.  There was an appetizer, the main dish and dessert.  Singapore Airlines has this Book the Cook fine dining at 38,000 feet. For the main course, I ordered their famous Hainanese Chicken Rice, which was very delicious.

Conclusion

Singapore Airlines is a flag carrier airline at Singapore and is ranked one of the top airlines in the world.  I enjoyed every moment in this flight, from their down-to-earth service to the fine dining meal.  I highly recommend this airline to anyone.
