Flying Qatar Airways Doha to San Francisco in Qsuite

Today is the last day of my Summer 2022 multi-country trip.  From Doha, Qatar, I am flying back to San Francisco with Qatar Airways in its Qsuite business class.

I got up early today and am now taking the van from the hotel to the Hamad International Airport.

Arriving at the airport – the Qatar Airway terminal.

Upon entering the door, to the right is for First Class passengers; left is for Business passengers.

In the early morning, it’s pretty crowded already at the business class check-in counters.

On the far side, these are the check-in counters for Economy class passengers.  The airport is very huge and immersive.

Standing in line for check-in.  We have waited for about 15 minutes for the check-in.

After checking in, I head to the security checkpoint.  The process is fast and efficient.

After that, I am checking out the stores inside the airport.

There’s this special “Travel Boutique” store selling Qatar Airways merchandises.

The sample Qatar Airway First Class seat.  I wish I could fly in it one day.

Due to time constraint, I did not visit the lounge, but I have visited it when arriving at Doha from San Francisco.  It’s now time to hop to the boarding gate.

A sneak-peek at the A350-1000 aircraft bringing us to San Francisco, a 14 hour and 45 minutes flight time.

Here is the takeoff video:

On this return flight, I have chosen the window seat.  The seat is very roomy and comfortable.  The sliding doon, when closed, gives some personal privacy.

Notice the aircraft very spacious and the ceiling is very high.  The middle area doesn’t have compartments.

Food is a la carte.

Flying over the sky of Canada.

Finally, the beautiful landing video at SFO:

Conclusion:

Qatar Airways was rated the #1 airline in the world.  I had the opportunity to fly with this airline and experienced their Qsuite product.  I would say this seating is the best compared to several other airlines I have tried so far.  The seat is very roomy and comfortable.  From seating to lying down for a sleep, there are lot of space.  Food is very good and crew service is attentive – keeping in mind that almost most of the time, they will not bother the passenger as they walk by.  If the passenger needs anything, he/she needs to request.  During the 14+ hours flight, I slept for only 1.5 to 2 hours (not because the seat and environment are not comfortable).  After arrival, I did not have much jetlag and it recovered pretty fast.  This could be the result of good seating and the newer aircraft and its environment which has very high and spacious ceiling inside.  I enjoyed the flight and the big infotainment screen in front of the seat, especially being able to view the live aircraft movements.  I definitely recommend Qatar Airways to anyone.
