Short pasta like macaroni, penne, rotini, and others work best in this Slow Cooker Baked Ziti because they&rsquo;re less likely to clump and stick together. Long pasta cuts like spaghetti and fettucini are doable, but you may have to stir a couple more times in between.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Turn your slow cooker to high<\/strong>&nbsp;when you add your pasta.&nbsp;It&rsquo;s&nbsp;going to&nbsp;take longer to cook than if you were boiling it, but we&nbsp;don&rsquo;t want it to take forever, so crank it up and let it go for 15 minutes or so until it reaches your desired tenderness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Push your pasta down into the sauce<\/strong>&nbsp;&mdash; try to make sure you don&rsquo;t have too many sticking out, or they may be dry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Don&rsquo;t overcook<\/strong>&nbsp;&mdash; cooking pasta in the slow cooker takes longer than in boiling water, but&nbsp;it&rsquo;s&nbsp;not going to&nbsp;take more than 20-25 minutes, so check at the 15-minute mark and then try to gauge how much longer it needs at that point.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"block-rating cwp-inner\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading block-tip__title\" id=\"h-reader-rating\">Reader Rating<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thereciperebel.com\/wp-content\/themes\/thereciperebel-2020\/blocks\/five-stars\/five-stars.svg\" width=\"128\" height=\"24\"><\/p>\n\n\n<p>&ldquo;Phenomenal recipe! It&rsquo;s Penne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But you know what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ziti is not that easy to find around here, and since my &ldquo;Baked&rdquo;&nbsp;Ziti isn&rsquo;t all that traditional in the first place, why cause a big fuss about it?
