Our Favorite Slow Cookers

We love our slow cooker recipes here! These are the slow cookers we use every week. I prefer a simple design over one with lots of bells and whistles, but you might find your needs are different than ours.

I love this 2.5 quart Crockpot but it is hard to het ahold of! I find it’s the perfect size for 2-6 people and I have the casserole (shallower) design. The Hamilton Beach is our go-to for larger meals!

We also have this larger 6 quart Hamilton Beach programmable slow cooker with a meat probe. We really only use this one if we’re doing a really large batch of soup, or a roast or whole chicken or large piece of meat.

Other Small Kitchen Appliances

We’ve had a few different coffee makers through the years, but we have been loving our De’longhi Magnifica Evo for a couple of years. It’s not a budget coffee maker, but we don’t have a Starbuck’s nearby and don’t frequent any coffee shops, so it’s a splurge that makes sense for us.

I know lots of people like a big, fancy blender, but we love this little KitchenAid! It’s small in size so it fits easily on our counter and is pretty powerful considering its small size.

Although we don’t use our Instant Pot as much as our air fryers, I still love them for soups and broth because they cook so quickly and the flavor is so concentrated. Plus, their hands off!

My KitchenAid stand mixer is pretty big and heavy, but I’ve had it for years (a decade or more!) and it is still going strong!

Our Favorite Pots and Pans

I am downright obsessed with my Ninja Neverstick Cookware. We have an 8″ skillet which was gifted to us by the company, and I loved it so much I bought the 12″ as well. It never sticks and is SO durable, it doesn’t scratch or flake or anything. I love it so much I bought one for my mom for Christmas, so you know it’s legit!

Other Miscellaneous Kitchen Faves

A meat thermometer is a must in our house — it’s the best way to get perfectly cooked and juicy meat and chicken!

I also love this round cookie cutter set for making biscuits, cookies, and so many other things.

This Mandolin makes slicing and chopping so easy, the whole family can use it! I love that it has a clear container underneath to store the food while we’re chopping.

Our whole family is obsessed with this cheese slicer because it creates the perfect thin slices! Great for burgers, sandwiches, snacking, you name it.

I have gone through so many cookie scoops that just break constantly, I will never use another brand as long as I have the choice! Since buying these Jenaluca cookie scoops (in 2022) they have not broken once and I have not replaced them.

It may seem like an insignificant thing, but we love this thin apple slicer even more than the 8 slice one!

A good can opener is a must! This one is great and doesn’t leave any sharp edges.

We go through a ton of bowls of all sizes, and love these pinch bowls for dips, sauces, etc.

I was looking for some good, sturdy spatulas and these fit the bill. They are one piece silicone with stainless steel inside!

As you can imagine, we go through a ton of dishes, so we need to clean our dishwasher regularly. These tablets are much cheaper than buy the name brand in store.

Here are some of my favorite travel products from this year — the ones that make it easy to pack light!

My Favorite Packing Items

The older I get, the more skincare items I seem to want to take with me.

Being a carry-on only packer, I struggle with fitting them in the tiny plastic bags. I love using these tiny jars (for things like moisturizer where a little goes a long way) and these flat toiletry pouches (for things like shampoo and conditioner that usually take up more space) to save some room.

They pack so easily that I’m able to get a ton in!

I was looking for something that I could put my thin liquids and serums in that was totally leakproof and small — I love these glass dropper bottles! I have tested them out and they are completely leakproof.

I also bought these clear toiletry bags that are the same size as the ones that give you at the airport (smaller, but wider so it amounts to the same space) — they are sturdier and I love the flat bottom for fitting in jars and bottles.

I love staying organized and packing cubes are such lifesavers! These ones have an extra zipper that flattens them after packing.

I use this 40 L backpack as my personal item and, if it’s not overstuffed, it does fit under the seat! I like to max out my personal item size because with carry on only I am so limited to how much I can bring. I love that it zips open so you can pack it like a suitcase!

I absolutely love this Bagsmart Duffle bag — it opens like a suitcase, has a wet pocket and fits so much stuff. I go back and forth between this bag and my backpack, but if you need to carry a ton of stuff the duffle is easier to do it in. It’s just harder to carry if they steal your roller bag!

Miscellaneous Travel Favorites

These Soundcore Wireless Headphones are my favorites! The charge lasts a long time (even if you’re not using them and they’re sitting for a few weeks in between trips) and they have great sound. They’re also inexpensive so they’re easily replaceable.

I absolutely love this charger, because no extra cords are needed, so you don’t have to dig through your bag!

I tested these phone cases out before our cruise and snorkelling trip, and they held up just as well in the ocean!

Ear plugs are a must — these are inexpensive and easy to throw in your bag for when you need them!

Favorite Travel Shoes

Because I pack light, having versatile shoes that are super comfortable is so important!

These are the two I bring right now — they go with any outfit and are great for walking!
