I’m testing easy recipes to make for a warm nights program at our church where we provide space for 25 unhoused men for a week, and I tried this recipe exactly as written tonight. It was absolutely delicious! I used Rao’s marinara sauce, heavy cream, and basil in a tube at the end. I’m wondering if I could throw in some fresh spinach at the end to amp up the veggies?

Girl why would you even ask such a terrible thing?? Just because your taste buds might like something different doesn’t mean you should make slanderous comments with zero evidence. If you don’t like the recipes here move on.

I made this and it was amazing. I didnt have fresh basil so I used a full tsp of dried. I used evaporated milk… no curdling. I also cooked it on high in the Crockpot and the chicken was done at 2 hrs 10 minutes.
The result was a delicious meal. Will definitely add this to our menu on a regular basis.

Hi Rachel. No I do not fake reviews for rankings. The flavor will vary depending on the brand of marinara sauce you use, whether you use the tomatoes with added seasonings, the freshness of your basil, the amount of grated Parmesan you top it with, etc.
